PROFILE

My friends and relatives in my place of birth call me "Toto Itik" but those who are from the outside know me as " Vic" or "Toto Vic". I was born, raised, and finished my primary and secondary education in San Jose, Antique. I am the eldest among 9 brothers and two sisters. My college years were spent in Bacolod City and Manila where I took up my first two years in Advertising Arts and spent the rest drifting from one school to another until I got fed up and ended up completing a business management course by correspondence. Even though I was away for a long, long time, I  never had any second thoughts about returning home and spending the remaining years of my life here. It was in mid-1976, when I started work as a tour guide, doubling as a medical representative, for Marsman and Company. After about a year, I decided to turn free-lance to enable me to have the flexibility to manage my time and to allow me to engage in other money-making ventures. In 1979, I got hooked to recreational Scuba diving and spent my holidays diving for a few years until I discovered that I could earn more and enjoy life as a professional divemaster / instructor.  My chosen profession for more than 30 years gave me the chance to meet people and  travel and work in the places, , mainly in Northern Palawan, where underwater life or natural environment was still at its best.  Sadly, It  made me forget that I also possessed the ability which could have given me the opportunity to do better had I spent more time creating  visual art pieces then. But life must go on and even as a senior citizen with a wifey and two very young kids to provide for,   it is never too late to start anew.... and to keep abreast with the latest trends.
